Ah. Mascaras. The wands you need for beautiful lashes and eyes.

I believe that a mascara is the tool that can literally open up the eyes, along with an eyelash curler. It just makes the eyes more alive, telling, and expressive.

I own several mascaras that I love and wanted to try a new drugstore one. It’s not technically new because it’s been around for a few years now. It’s just new to me because I haven’t tried it yet.

The mascara I’m talking about is the Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara. I reviewed it and if you want to know how I feel about it, just keep on reading!

Different Types of Mascara Formulas

Before we dive in with the review, it’s important to know what kind of formula your mascara has.

1. Lengthening

These mascaras help lengthen the lashes. This is achieved through the long and dense bristles of the wand. This helps get to the tips of the lashes and add length there.

Most lengthening mascaras have fibers that help the lashes appear longer and add length to the tips.

2. Volumizing

These mascaras help add volume to the lashes to make them appear thicker. The formula itself is thick, being made up of silicone, wax, polymers, and other ingredients that add volume. These mascaras don’t have fibers though.

3. Curling

These mascaras help curl the lashes upward even without an eyelash curler. This type has a rather thicker consistency which helps hold and keep the curl upward. These mascaras are formulated to curl the lashes and keep them turned up.

4. Defining

These mascaras are sort of like all the other mascaras combined. It adds volume, lengthens, and a little bit on the curl department. Moreover, it coats each lash and separates them so they don’t clump together.

It works from root to tips that can go from natural to bold.

5. Tubing

These mascaras coat each individual lashes with “tubes” or cases. These tubes are resistant to water and smudging which makes them suitable for day wear.

Those who want their mascaras to last the whole day of heat and humidity without running, smudging, or fading, might want to check this one out.

And should you take them off at the end of the day, they simply slide off with a little pressure and warm water. You don’t even have to use a makeup remover.

It’s not called False Lash Effect for no reason.

This mascara is loved by tons of people around the world, that it is told that 1 bottle is sold every minute. It’s that good. Or supposed to be.

My friends have it, beauty influencers have it, and everyone in IG is raving about it! The hype surrounding this mascara is so real that I have to try it.

I know I’m late. I know. But I can’t stay late forever, right?

So I went online, purchased myself one, tried it, and it changed the game.

This is…the ultimate top-of-the-line drugstore mascara that all other mascaras should look up to. Like it should win a Nobel Prize or something. It’s THAT good!

I should really be stepping up my drugstore mascara game and try out more mascaras. They expire fast, like they only last for 3 months, so that’s a really good reason to try out some more. Also, I might be able to find another one like this gem!

It separates, lengthens, and thickens lashes even in just one layer. To get all these results I had to layer and use several mascaras together and this does all of it in one go. No wonder why a lot of people love it!

I used to think that only high-end mascaras like Dior and Lancome can make my lashes ethereal. But boy. This one can take the cake and be hailed the Queen of them all mascaras (the non-waterproof ones).

It just outperforms most of my high-end mascaras and for a way, way, WAY cheaper price. Other drugstore mascaras like the Maybelline Total Temptation (Pink) and Revlon Super Length Mascara are great, but this one from Essence is just phenomenal.

One coat will give you a natural falsie look. Two or more coats will give you a more dramatic and bolder look. Curl your lashes prior and you will really look like you have falsies on.

Read the ingredients list though if you have any allergies to any of them. You will be applying this to your eyelashes so it’s always best to do your research and do a patch test.

1. How much does it have?

It has 12 mL of product.

2. Does it come in other colors?

No, it doesn’t.

3. Is this a tubing mascara?

I LOVE this mascara. Even for the first time that I’ve used it, I already fell in love.

I also forgot to mention that I don’t wear waterproof mascaras. Budge and smudge-proof, yes, but not waterproof. It’s just that they are super hard to get rid of and whenever I do, even with an oil-based cleanser, my lashes go with them.

And this is a problem because I am trying to grow my lashes all my life. And I don’t really sweat that much even if it’s hot so thank goodness for that.

Essence has other mascaras in the Lash Princess line and I would love to try them as well. But for now, I will keep on using this Lash Effect one because I want them falsie-lookin’ lashes!
